Cubase 3 & Delta Audiophile DMA Buffer

Howdy - I'm using Cubase SX 3, and have come across an odd problem. I
can use my Delta Audiophile 2496 with DMA Buffer Size (Latency)
settings up to and including 768 samples. However, if I increase it to
896 samples, I either can't start Cubase or if I can, Cubase
automatically selects the default ASIO Multimedia driver and won't let
me switch back to the Delta driver. I can use a DMA Buffer Size of
1024 samples, though.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Same here. I have Delta 1010, essentially the same driver as the
Audiophile. 768 samples DMA buffer seems unacceptable to SX3.

Cubase 5, Wavelab and other applications don't mind it.

Hi there,

...same problem

However, setting up m-audio's dma buffer to 1024 samples instead of 896 seems make it in Cubase SX3.

What's funny about is is that m-audio tells me I get 10 msecs latency on 1024, and 11 on 896 (I use 96000 sample rate).

peace
