Hi all,
A quick question for the gurus out there. If I set up an audio track (Cubase
5) and bring up the Cubase mixer and click the small "in" button at the top
of the channel then I see the input signal stength levels moving as I play
(guitar)..good! However, clicking the small "in" button on any of the other
channels in the mixer window shows input signals as well. I've had Cubase
for quite a while now..don't use it as much as I should (busy teacher), but
have wondered about this for quite a time. Sorry for the basic question.
Cheers and a happy new year to all.
Paul

If you only have one input sellected, anytime you click the in you can
only see that in. If you had a 24 input/output soundcard and you had
all the ins/outs activated and you had in1 set to channel 1 and 2 to 2
and so on, you would only see that channels activity when you clicked
the in.You have a stereo A/D/A or you only have one set activated. The
only thing it can see for an in is what is coming through that one
stereo set.

There's just one input. But it's available to any track.
