This freeware program http://www.pcpages.com/deltasp2002/ will make
your cheap soundcard sound like you have a full recording stuidio with
20 expensive synths etc ...

It's got other features as well and is easy to use. No coding and
stuff like that, mostly just point an click or record playback from PC
keyboard or external keyboard.
