Leak Sandwich loudspeaker

Does anyone have experience of the Leak Sandwich loudspeaker from the
1950s/1960s? How does its performance compare with modern speakers?
I would be interested to learn from those who know.

It was several orders of magnitude better than anything made today but
the British gov't drove it underground and snuffed the project for
security reasons.

It was way ahead of its time but that time has past. I loved the
structural integrity.

Yes, I remember hearing something like that also. I recall also hearing that
the last known pair were nailed up in a large wooden crate and stored in
some massive undisclosed warehouse somewhere in Briton.
