I recently started using a new notebook with Vista Home premium installed.
Now I'm at a loss about MIDI settings. Can't find any MIDI settings under
soundcard, nor is it mentioned anywhere in help.
Am I getting blind, or is MIDI functionality simply removed?

For midi functionality you must have a soundcard with midi IO
Normally has not a notebook this functionality .
You must order an USB MidiInterface.

Apparently I have Realtek soundcard. 'Realtek HD audio manager' and dito
drivers seem to be installed, in which I can set all sorts of audio
settings.
Although I can play MIDI files, at least I would expect to be able to choose
different soundfonts, especially as this notebook is sold as multimedia
notebook...

Medion MODEL: MIM2300 NOTEBOOK PC MD96662


So: I don't need to control an external MIDI keyboard with the notebook. I
can use PC for that.
