Package deal for mastering CD and Vinyl (on a budget)?

A band I'm finishing up a recording for is looking to issue it on CD
and vinyl. For an 11 song album the number they're looking at for
mastering is roughly $650 for the CD half of the job. Every place
they've contacted outsources their vinyl mastering and the cost
basically doubles. Can anyone one recommend a mastering place that
will do a package deal for CD and vinyl or is that an unreasonable
expectation? I've never had anyone issue anything on vinyl before so
I'm at sea as to the cost and how much of the work of the dual
mastering job is overlapping.

Thanks, Andy

If they do it properly, absolutely none of the work is overlapping,
except maybe the listening and thinking part.

You might talk to Don Grossinger, though. www.dongrossinger.com. He
does nice work and he will leave stuff alone that needs to be left alone.
He does his own lacquer work. He's not super cheap but he will work with
you.

Thanks Scott. I sent the band to his site. He's not all that more
expensive than what they were looking at already and they really liked
the work he's done. Looks like they're going to go with him. Thanks
for the lead.

He's a good fellow, and he's the only guy I know who can cut a 1 KHz
square wave on a lacquer and have it come out square.
