Hi,

I've got a new song out. It's called "Mint Julep" - you can check it out here:
http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11403977

It features the usual suspects:

Superior Drums
Trilian Bass
Real guitar with a POD XT
Omnisphere

new Kontakt Retro Machines Mk2 Library

and a guest appearance by the "Salvation Army Band"
(Kirk Hunter Concert Brass 2)

any comments graciously accepted ;-)

Thanks Poly! I'm really happy to hear that. I spent a lot of time on the brass parts - that really
was the whole point of this one (to play around with a "Salvation Army Band" sound) - but any brass
player could have told me it was all a load of crap, for all I know ;-)

Well, I'd have to disagree with him. That's one of the best sounding 'synth'
horns I've heard.

You're too kind! I *did* try to get the breaths right. I have no idea how long a good brass player
can go without taking a breath - but i tried to imagine where I'd need to breath, and shortened MIDI
notes accordingly... ;-)

aw shucks thanks Poly ;-)

I've had some comments that the panning should be the opposite - do you have any thoughts on that?
I'm just trying to picture the way I see guys playing on the street (we used to have a group of
Russian guys that played on the street a lot - and of course you always have Salvation Army Bands
around Christmas time)

My first thought is that it was a sampled recording from a real band.
In other words, I wouldn't f*ck widdit
