Anyone know how to change the velocity of the 'piano keys' in the key
editor?

It is preset at 127, not the best for previewing notes on sounds with
velocity switches like those on trilogy bass module.

Regards

Paul

In the key editor, at the top of the screen, to the left of the 'snap'
button, there is a small indicator that says 'ins. vel.'
There you can adjust the standard velocity of hand-drawn notes.
Is that what you mean?

I don't think that is what Paul means.
The vertical keyboard on the left can be used to preview notes (as
opposed to inserting them). I.e. clicking a key with the mouse triggers
the note. This preview has a fixed velocity of 127, which is annoying. I
would like to find a way of lowering that value myself.

Jos,

You are right, I am referring to the previewing of notes using the
keys on the key editor.

Thanks

I found a way around this, more or less. On the MIDI track, in the
Inspector, open the MIDI Transform window, and enter the following:
Conditions:
Type equal note
Velocity equal 127
Actions:
Velocity set to fixed value 64 (or whatever)

This acts as a real-time filter. Be sure not to use actual notes with
velocity 127 in your work, or remember to turn off the filter.
Sadly, it only works for that specific track.

Jos.
