Easy, someone just makes brrrrumadumadum noises (for example, the King's Singers in the fabulous recording of Jannequin's "La Guerre" (complete with battle noises!)). I haven't heard of a choral Bolero, but it should be possible without too many problems.

well, I knew there was one but forgot where I had heard it. I started googling and came up here. if someone goes my way ten more years later again this may be of some help: I finally remembered, the Swingle Singers did it on the album "Beauty and the Beatbox" (2007). Wikipedia also mentions a a vocal adaptation of the Boléro called "Lonlon" by Angelique Kidjo from "Djin Djin".

...and my post was from 2003, pre dating both recordings by 4 years.
Maybe my post was the inspiration for these recordings?!
