    Howdy,

Hope you can help with a few questions, firstly what would be a good anti slip mat to use with a Goldring GR-1 turntable (so clearly not one that costs £300) and would I need to modify any of the arm/cart settings?

Secondly, would a Nad PP2 phono stage make a worth while upgrade to the built in phono stage on a Sony TA-FE370 amp? Given that the amp is circa £130 and the Nad is only £35 (including metal casing and PSU - this doesn't leave much for components) it strikes me as more of a product for those who don't have a built in phono stage, rather than a big improvement on amps that already have one....especially as another interconnect would then have to enter the loop.

    Cheers in advance ;)

    Mats - dunno.

NAD - if it's anything like the PP1 it's no better than OK and may well not be better than the phono stage in your amp.

Still looking for a decent slip mat (that doesn't say "I'm a DJ" all over it) if anyone has any ideas?

    Cheers chaps,

The ringmat system (although interesting) is a little more than I wanted to pay, the base version appears to be £35 if I'm reading it right....

Rob, what did you type into eBay, Slip Mat is bringing nothing back :(
