can we keep the "reference" threads [like who owns what] as tidy as poss. Get in, list your kit and get out - like the special forces we are [Ross Kemp-tastic! mate].

If you want to verbalise, dribble, drool or abuse - start another thread, and LINK it to the equipment sticky page required.

Otherwise you are going to have a low signal to noise ratio making the list less effective.

    cheers all

Along similar lines, if/when a "your album reccomendations" thread starts, keep that purely down to the review. Perhaps also post the review as an individual post where it can be discussed and expanded on. Ross Kemp tastic indeed!

I'm thinking of creating a Reviews section for music aswell which could take on the album recommendations (as separate threads) aswell.

I get at least 2-3 new CDs month so I will try to post a little review of each in the section.

So will the reviews section be a locked post affair? I think that's a good idea then post them again on the apropriate music board where they can be discussed?

I think if we keep it to a new thread for each review/recommendation then there's no reason not to allow discussion about it to continue on that thread. The less admin actions (locking posts etc) I have to take as a matter of course the better :)

Don't really see the point of the reviews board

If they're going to be open for debate threads then can't they just be stuck on the apropriate board? MOre chance of them being viewed and therefore replied to?

Guess it's hit and hope for now. See how things work out........

    :D
