It's quite rare that adverts piss me off but that frog one, and other ringe tone ones really do. Not only are they irritating but I just find it so depressing that society has stooped to the level of people nationally spending vast amounts of money on this shite. I shall sign the petition forthwith.

I blame the parents, failing to education their children in decent tastes in music.

This is on the ASA site:
'IMPORTANT - JAMSTER: We are aware of viewer concern about the current frequency of Jamster advertising and the terrestrial channels have been informed. If you wish to complain about the frequency of Jamster ringtone advertisements, please do not complain to the ASA. You should contact the broadcaster direct. The frequency of any particular advertisement is not part of the ASA's remit. Contact details for broadcasters can be found in Radio Times, or on the Ofcom web site: http://www.ofcom.org.uk/tv/ifi/tvlicensing/?a=87101. The ITV Duty Office can be contacted on: 0870 600 6766. For Cable or Satellite channels, contact the channel. The ASA can only consider complaints about the content of television advertisements, not the frequency of any particular advertisement.'

Its a start- atleast its generating loads of complaints

More music for the chavs! The original, 'Axel F' was a pretty good instrumental. The adverts (and frog and Sweety the f***ing Chick) are bloody annoying if you ask me. Petition signed with pleasure!

Never actually heard it (or heard of it before this thread), but could it possibly be any worse than the other dross of popular alleged music? (No names, naturally... :D )

Tones, I hold most pop music in utmost contempt, but this is something else entirely - consumer culture at its worst and most anti-artistic.

The beast looks ready for take off. Maybe you can convince it to swap record proceeds for your bike. :)

OK, heard it now, but you have to admit that it's a lot more musical and artistic than certain German-sourced dirigibles constructed of non-transition metals :D

    Don't you????

Why doesn't the frog have a bike? The other dude does! Did they forget to render it into the video or something and no one noticed until it was too late?

The sad thing to me is knowing there are so many people who like it. If not how do they get the money to advertise so much? Taking it away will be good but for me the damage has been done. I am now sure the human race is going down hill!

According to the Times in early March the Frog had already generated £14 million for Jamster.

Oi - lay off Led Zep - at least they actually know how to play real instruments :)

Seriously now though - who cares about SINGLES CHARTS? They've not been relevant since 1995, when Britpop died. They're for kids who can't afford CD albums.

As for the Frog thing - I've still not heard it. I don't watch TV, just use it as a monitor for DVDs and Laserdiscs. If I could find a hifi stereo VCR and a pro-monitor I'd be able to shirk the TV licence altogether!
