I am looking for a budget stereo system for our kitchen sitting area. The kitchen, dining room, and sitting area make up an L space, with the sitting area being at the crossing point of the two arms of the L. THe sitting space is roughly 10x14 feet but obviously fully open to the kitchen and dining room.

As I am building an expensive media room, I don't want to go wild on this stereo purchase. I was thinking about the inexpensive Cambridge Audio Azur 640C cd player and 640A integrated amp, paired with some inexpensive bookshelf speaker (e.g. JMLab Chorus 706C).

I only found one thread on the Cd player, but was wondering whether anyone has any personal experience with the Azur player and amp. I am waiting to get to our local dealer to audition them, if they are in stock.
