I was looking for a new cheap and simple diy project and thought I'd try some old full-range units from Goodmans. I'm not expecting them to sparkle on the uppermost frequencies but they do seem to have a bit of a following with some folk. I've got a single Axiom 300 on the way from ebay for £32 delivered as a start, though I might struggle to find a partner for it as they're old and not very common. I did have a pair of later axiom 201's a few years back but that was before I'd tried my hand at anything diy so sold them on, but they looked nicely made and reassuringly substantial. I had considered trying out an open baffle design just for fun, easy to do and if I use mdf it's cheap enough to scrap if it sounds crap. :)
