On ebay there is a Kimber select 1021 ( well I like Kimber) and I was thinking of bidding for it, if it looks like going for a reasonable price , but it is attenuated (-16db) I assume that to disattenuate ( a fine new word ) would be relatively simple ?

    Thanks

Probably, but fiddly. Well worthwile though - I've yet to encounter an attenuation device that didn't degrade the sound. I've tried Kimber attenuated cables, Rothwell in-line atteniators and some Rothwell clones.
