Just a thought, I've seen some of these going very reasonably £600ish, and I've often admired the sound they make at shows, do you reckon they'd drive the Meadowlarks to the moderate to middling levels I listen at, obviously they won't make my ears bleed but I don't want that, or is it a stupid idea. I'm not planning on wholesale changes, in fact, I'm not really planning any.

Which bit of the Audionote sound is it I really like do you think? they always use their TT and their speakers with the aforementioned amps. Is it the speakers or is it the amps that do it. They somehow seem to have a realness and a vividness that few other manufacturers seem to achieve. At least at prices I can afford.

    Any thoughts guys?

Aren't they low in the power stakes? 8-10 watts? I use Shearwaters with a 50w valve amp and I still yearn for a bit more power.
As long as you are not a dance fan I think you may be ok.I would defintely try first before you buy.

I don't think I'll be bothering. They're on ebay, but I'd rather find a dealer with some and try. Can't find any at the moment though
