Towards the end of March. Would like to keep 1st and 2nd April free (Boss's Birthday and HiFi show, WOW:)).

So how about Saturday 25th March or if that's short notice, 8th April?

No theme, just to meet some ZGers and have a good chinwag and listen to music.

I just thought we could have some fun listening to some kit and music. You can bring along whatever kit and CDs you see fit. Hopefully we'll get to listen to some unusual music (Ian's coming:)). If I can get some helpful hints on how to overcome room issues, it'll be a bonus.

In terms of kit, I have 3 valve amps (a Lilolee/Dev effort, Rogue Stereo 90 and Ian's Leak Stereo 20) but no active pre-amp. CDP is Arcam Alpha 9, speakers are Tannoy D700s.

BTW, 25th March is looking more favourable.
 
I'd like to join, but unfortunately, I live in Portsmouth which is nearly 3 hours drive to Ilford. I know lilolee so I really like to see your joint effort diy valve and other valve amps driving the Tannoys.

Saturdays are put aside as...''make Chris less fat'' days.

Maybe catch you at the show, and would love to hear your Tannoy/valve combo one of these days.

I can make the 25th and could bring:

A Naim CD5i fitted with dual power transformers and ALWSRs....

or

WAD tube Pre and Phono with some nice Mullard tubes...

I don't have much of a TT, so the phono will not be put to very good use I'm afraid, but Naim CD5i and/or WAD pre we should be able to enjoy.

So far Rob, we have you, Sideshowbob, Robbo and SCIDB.
 
How close to Ilford station are you?

If it was walkable or someone can pick me up then go on, put me down.
 
Okay then thanks :) What time is this all kicking off? Not too early I hope!

BTW, I could bring my modded DEQ2496 if you like but it is pretty useless without a transformer based pre-amp. Anybody got one?
