Edit: set for Saturday 9th Oct now.

Perhaps include DBT of cables?

as the was-to-be-host i'm going to have to miss out on this one (!!). Just managed to bag a last minute place at Lincoln doing a PGCE teaching degree in Music so am kinda taken up for 10 months :(

whats worse is that my hifi will be sat at home unused, but thats another matter

Sorry Rory, not sure I understood correctly. Are you cancelling your DBT?

Good luck with your course Rory.

Anyone else? I was hoping for more positive responses :o

erm yeh, kinda taken up for the next 10 months so hifi meets out of the question for now. try pm-ing Zarquon on hfc, Dev. If you were DBTing things other than cables Jesse seemed interested on hfc too.

I would like to be there, and I will try and follow the results on the web- i've heard major differences between interconnects- time for other people to as well :)

Ok, so we have Julian, John and possibly Lee. How many do we need to make it worthwhile?

Not sure my passport allows me into Essex ;)
Not with your passport photograph, it doesn't. However, I'm sure you can change it. ;)

It's only a short drive (half the M25) for you Lee.

Right now with people knocking on the door for money, I can't afford the trip unfortunately. Would like to be there, but hey... can't win 'em all.

would there be a particular focus for the bakeoff or would it be just a run what you brung free for all. i could bring some cobra 2 if it's cables or my a/s dac if it's a free for all.
cheers

I'd like to try cable DBT, if we can agree a suitable procedure. Otherwise it's "free for all". So bring all you want to. I'd especially like to try my Tannoys with the BC and more decent cables. But most of all I'd just like a fun day listening to hardware and music.

Dunno. I could bring a Sonneteer Bronte digital amp, to compare with John's bel canto, or a DAC 64. Or a phono stage if there's a TT to hand. Or any of a large selection of tuners. :D
