I am selling my Mk 1 Border Patrol 300B SE.

This is an early version of the current 300B single ended border patrol amplifier.

Border Patrol amps shouldnt need introducing to the people on the forum, they are simply IMO the best single ended amplifiers in production today. They are very quiet, have impressive dynamics, 'prat' and are far more powerfull in real life than their output figures suggest.

    Here is a weblink:

    http://www.borderpatrol.co.uk/ampind.htm

It looks visually very similar to the current model, but does not have the wooden side cheeks.

Internally its all point to point wired, and has Border Patrols famous valve rectified choke power supply.

2 of the caps have recently been changed to audionote paper/oil, and the output transformer is brand new from border patrol - being the same as the current version. The transformer and its fitting costs came to around £400.

The amplifier has just had a full service, and four of its 7 valves are brand new (less than 2 weeks) The output tubes have about 10 months on them (they are 300B TJ gold pin mesh plates). The Mullard rectifier is about 15 months old.

This amp (depending on its specification) comes in circa £3,500-£4,000 in its current form.

Im asking £1200 (no offers thankyou). I'll leave it up here and on pink fish for about a week, and then e-bay. So hurry if you're interested.

    PM if interested.

    Chris
