Cambridge Audio Azur 540D DVD Player

    The new CD player (£250 640c) and Stereo Amps (£200 540a and £250 640a), have all been well reviewed and praised for their attention to detail in areas like choice of components, build quality (well damped), looks etc...

    They look much better than previous CA kit me thinks.

    So, I imagine the 540d has got to be worth a listen for anyone after a player in this budget. Would have been nice if it did SACD too. Just had a look on the product list to see if there was a 640d version (which may have been SACD too ;)), but don't see one mentioned. Have CA released a SACD player to date? Or is this their first finger in the new format pie?

    One thing I noticed though is that it states freq' response as 20hz-20Khz. That doesn't seem in line to support DVD-A (which I thought had a wider range?:confused: ), or am I missing something?

    Looks much better, at least, than previous kit IMO...
