Have just whipped the lid off of my old DCD-610.

Can anybody point me in the direction of the muting transistors which I wish to remove?

I've circled all of them that I can see. Maybe they all need replacing?

    Thankyou.

    yes .........

look to the back of the unit near the output sockets .....

there may be four or just two transistors....

you need to see the base of the pcb ....the signal from the opamp will pass by these transistor an touch one leg only the other two legs will be ground and the supply rail. if you imagine a 'T' with the signal running on the horizontal and the upright the transistor.

I've the schems for a dcd615 the mute trans are tr706 and tr707.....for that unit.

I can't see from your pic which they may be.....I'd have expected to see them up with the dc blocking caps ....are they behind them ?
but they are not down the front edge
if this doesn't make any sense pm me
