Change of some colours

I've had my first go with this really cool utility called vButton Pro that lets you quickly and easily edit the various buttons and icons used on vB forums.

Not entirely convinced by my choice of colours yet but nothing can be worse than the horrible mauve originals.

I may be changing them a bit more over the next day or so if I can work out something better.

Suggestions and comments are welcome...but may be ignored :D

The black and yellow was awful. In fact, painful to look at so I went to the new improved Pancake forum instead :D.

Grey/Orange, much much better. Nice even.

Yes - I thought the black and yellow was a bit loud aswell :chunder: Quite pleased with this grey and orange though and it goes with the ZeroGain logo aswell ;)

New Pancake forum looking pretty slick but Tony's banned avatars, you're only allowed 3 smilies/images per post and all the smilies are monochrome :eek: (mind you, the grey smilies are quite cool in a retro kind of way).

I think a healthy dose of green and white hoops would looks rather good! And perhaps a shamrock or two!

has it changed yet again? I was viewing it on another c earlier and looked pretty good. Home again now though and looks a big `orrid.

Hasn't changed again. First attempt (when I started the thread) was a pretty horrid yellow on black thingy, then I changed it to orange on grey and it hasn't changed since. Have you messed with your broswer settings to change the text size (Menu View -> Text Size -> (Medium is the default)) ?

Something has changed - it's the slight pinkish tone to the whites and some of the legends. I find it distracting and not particularly easy on the eye.

Sorry to whine without being constructive and coming up with an alternative...

I promise you that nothing has changed since I did the orange on grey "look". Some of the orange does look a slightly pink/pastely because it's mixed with white but it's always been like that and if you saw what pure orange looked like you'd understand!

None of the white bits (text in the buttons etc) is anything other than just white.

I believe you that nothing has changed! It's not the pure white bits which I find troublesome but the palest grey which seems to have taken on a pinkish tone. I understand that the orange and white button mixes come out pink which makes me wonder if the conjunction of the orange and pale grey make the grey come up with a pink tinge...

Okay, found most of the problem - some *&%$@£! has been fiddling with my screen colours... But there's still a slightly pinkish tinge.
