Cheap soldering iron at Maplins

    RichardH has already put this up over at Pinkfish but, just in case you don't frequent there or haven't seen it, there is a very good deal on a temperature controlled solder station at Maplins at the moment.

    Part number N78AR for the solder station at £9.99(usually £29.99)
    and, I think, part number N79AR for a set of 3 spare tips.

    Good value, IMHO.

    They must be feeling guilty cos the new 'EEC friendly' lead-free solder is a pain in the ass, and the fumes are worse. Well thats progress..
