    NOW SOLD

STILL AVAILABLE - Price now £195 incl. delivery

I've decided it's time to try a different cartridge. I've only used a Goldring (briefly) and this one, and whilst the Clearaudio cart is bloody good I feel I need to broaden my experience! The lack of demoing opportunities for carts makes this my only option really.

I bought this from another forum user last July and it was unused when I bought it, so I've basically run it in for the next person .

I didn't listen to many records until after Christmas when I got hold of some of my Dad's classical, so I calculated that I've listened to on average approx. 5 LPs a week Jul to Dec, and 10 a week from Jan to Apr. At 45 mins an LP that works out at around 200 to 250 hours, so the cart has loads of life left in it.

It is in mint condition, no marks, and has always been handled with care. I'm a fussy bugger with my kit. Note that this is the dark wood version.

Would consider part-ex for cheaper or more expensive carts. MM or MC, haven't made my mind up yet. Happy for dealers to contact me also if they have any suggestions.

All original packaging and instructions included. Smoke free household etc.

RRP is £370 (link). I'm looking for £195 inclusive delivery which I feel is reasonable given the hours and condition. Hopefully someone else will feel the same way too :)

Note that I am a regular on HifiWigwam.

this is a lovely cartridge, and one I own myself.

the reviews are very very good.

one question, virtuoso wood carts (like mine) have a wooden body, but yours appears to be black? - I thought the virtuoso came in different varieties - which were seperated by the construction of the top plate. If that's the case, might you have a virtuoso of a different type there?

    thanks for the reco :)

I can confirm it has a wooden body, it's just that the wood is quite dark, rather than the lighter coloured wood seen on some sites.

The Clearaudio site shows both the darker and lighter versions at www.clearaudio.de

I wasn't aware of different types of Virtuoso. There's nothing on the Clearaudio site about it. As far as I am know it is just one of the normal wooden ones but happy to be corrected.

done some more digging... yes available in steel body, fernambunk (the lighter colour) and black (wood - don't know what type) - you appear to have this version.

They are all the same cart except for the body construction anyway.
