    Hello,
Any recommendations for cleaning plugs and sockets ?
    (type, manufacturer, supplier ...)

I noticed the pins on my DIN sockets are coated with what looks like heavy oxidisation.

Also how do I clean the DIN socket contacts ?

    Cheers

just plug and unplug them a few tens of times (20 or 30) with your kit switched off. this is the recommended method. you can try fancy contact cleaners but some leave deposits which can degrade sound (or so it's said). isopropyl alcohol is also a good bet as it evaporates. some recommend brasso but again deposits may be made which degrade the sound.
    cheers

Brasso the biits you can get at and wipe clean. Then get some Deoxit spray, spray it onto all metal, leave for a couple of minutes wipe whatever you can get at then do as previously suggested, makeing and unmaking contact . The Deoxit gets rid of oxidisation and Brasso residue
