Bon Jovi - Small time rock group from the 80s/90s, not very popular.

the band we all used to like, and now is harder to admit to.. (yes, I do have most of their albums)

yup, they..... give music a bad name
they are...... living on a 80's renaissance
    they are...... wanted, preferably dead
yes... their music is like bad medicine

    :p

I saw the Eagles on Sun night in Dublin. The missus wanted to go so I got dragged along.

Worth going just to see Joe Walsh, he did a great version of "Life's Been Good". To be honest I just wanted the other band members to p**s off and let Joe play.

Saw the Jovi at Wembley (the missus again) years ago before that bunch of Ozzies demolished it. Most boring gig ever...

Ah I see. Are they the sort of group that has gone in and out of fashion with bewildering frequency?

I ask because the younger daughter has just come back from the Download festival where Guns 'n Roses were top of the bill. In my day GnR were regarded as a bit of a joke.

I only heard about the GnR gig, the day after, not sure who is still in the band. I thought most of the group had fallen out with Axle, because he wanted to much control.

Tickets for general access BJ, were £25

I also went to the last Wembly Stadium gig, I thought it was fantastic !

It was basically Axl Rose plus backing band, as the rest of GnR went off to form Velvet Revolver, who were at last year's Download.

I thought it was only Slash that went off to do Velvet Revolver, I must be mistaken.

Just out of interest, is it Axel, Axle or Axl ?

Slash plus two other GnR members: Duff McKagan (bass), and Matt Sorum (drums).

It's Axl, because Axl Rose is an anagram of Oral Sex and that doesn't work if you spell the name Axel or Axle.
