Hello everyone. I come to you for help. I would think this would be easy, but I have searched without much luck...

I have a 15-year-old stereo that was considered quite good at the time. It is actually a 5-channel AV system (Rotel RSP-1066), but it is hooked up to two speakers and sub, with no TV.

I want some convenient way to play digital files that I take off of my desktop computer, which is in another room. At present, I have to burn a CD.

A thumb drive or SD card would be ideal. I think I want digital output. (Are standard DA converters these days as good as the ones in the Rotel?) A remote control with a reach of 12 feet would be great. And it should be cheap.

    What do you recommend?
