Paul why does that linn look dodgy? please.

May be an Entry level michell, but hardly just entry level, some say RB250 with tecnoweight, even better than stock rb300, besides at the price I got the cart for it was a bargain, deck only as good as cart, i believe, so cart aint holding things back an will look at upgrading powersupply, phono stage and arm, eventually, unless I don't feel it needs it, this is a secondary source remember.

The presence of a record clamp. The 1993 claim but fitted with an LVX Plus.
Or cart only as good as the deck and arm. And carts wear out.

As others have said, don't waste your money on expensive carts as you are just starting out & should concentrate on getting the basic set up right.

If buying 2nd hand you should probably disregard the supplied cartridge & buy a new cheap cart (plenty of choices here Denon, Sumiko BP, Goldring).

A Linn post-Nirvana mods (providing it is adequately set up & in good nick) should see off a Rega P3 with ease.
