Graham...i basically acquired a Paradigm PDR10 sub for next to nothing and coupled with my need for acquiring DIY MDF skills i've decided to rehouse the internals (amp and drive unit) in a Vikashâ„¢ box along with the Peerless PBR. As above- if the PDR10 sub doesn't meet my requirements (nice and subtle low end) then i'll simply get a XLS10 :)

Its great to see you on here Vikash! That database on your site is excellent. Unibox is good to use and Thorsten has an excellent spreadsheet that takes into account what happens in the room.

BTW Vikash, Im trying to find a microphone capsule so that I can use speaker workshop and take my own readings, they really are a little bugger to get hold off!!

Rory, have a check on the Thiel & Small website to see if anyone has measured the driver your using.

meh theres no Paradigm info on there- no info on my ICE Focal driver either :( . As mentioned earlier i think i'll just follow the instructions per Peerless driver- there can't be that much in it, surely?

Doesn't the focal come with data? I thought they just sold them as a driver, you don't get a box do you? If they're selling a driver they should give you data else you can't do anything particularly useful with it

I can count the number of drivers I've purchased that come with supplied T/S paramters on one hand. Furthermore, they're almost always out by a little at best. Ideally you want to measure everything yourself using something like speakerworkshop (this is not for the faint hearted but it is cheap and invaluable if you envisage doing this more than a few times in your life).

well the Focal data is on the web- thats not the point- its just that it isn't listed on the TS website.
It came in the proprietary Focal enclosure anyway and its churning very nicely away in my boot :D

Passive radiator ordered from BK Elec- now just to build the box!

That is cheap. That's the same tablesaw I use and it's not bad at all for the cost. I've cut quite a bit of thickish aluminium on it as well.

incidentally i did contact Paradigm direct and their drive units are 'proprietary' and no Thiele Small details are available.
