I want to buy a mains block, like Hms but on some foruns a few menbers advice me that filtered blocks can degrade the sound and kill the life out of music. Here all mains blocks are filtered ,I don't have many choice,I just can buy Kemp,Accustics Arts or Hms.
A dealer suggested me that filters are not so good for powerfull power and pre,but for an integrate are ok.Btw,I've got a Densen B 110/Naim CD 5/FC 2 / Epos M 15

I can't say I have heard degradation in sound from the filter I have (BADA LB-3000 if I am reading it right tucked away in a dark corner where no one will see I have it). I also can't say I have heard much improvement! Most good equipment should have its own optimised filtering built in anyway...

It depends ...if you have really polluted mains anything is going to be an improvment !

the best mains filter is no mains filter .....

ferrite rings just kill all the dynamics in my system .....but I'm using a a big 1:1 isolation transformer rather than filters.

1:1 mains basically rather than the more usual 230 to 30 which would be 7:1 approx

The 4 way distribution block I use (sorry can't remember the name) has some built in filtery things. The only difference I have noticed is the lack of clicks and pops from assorted other household equipment. The only sonic difference was when I replaced the standard lead with a screened lead and decent plugs. But that's another story I guess.
