A week ago my Denon PMA355UK amp broke down. It's been with a delaer for the last week to find out what the problem is. One side of the amp has blown and needs to be replaced (perhaps a transistor). The long and short of it is that it will cost £120 (+£25 that I've already paid to have it looked at) to repair. This seems like a significant amount of money, at my calculation approx. 60% of original cost I paid. You can now get one for £160. Should I: 1) get another quote, £100 seems a lot...... 2) buy a new amp. If anyone can recommend for either option I'd be very grateful. Budget would be around £200, possibly stretching to £250. Music is classical (particularly choral) and jazz. Possible options: NAD: C320BEE or C325BEE ROTEL: RA04 any suggestions would be most welcome, Matt _________________ Arcam CD72T - Denon PMA335UK - B&W DM303
