    Apologies if this has been asked before. I searched the forum quickly and did not find anything...

    I am wondering if you have any recommendations on recordings of Grieg's Peer Gynt and his Holberg Suite. I have Sir Thomas Beecham's Peer Gynt on HMV and Mariss Janssons' Holberg Suite but was wondering if you recommend others. LP preferred but not essential. :)

    Barbirolli with the Halle is wonderful for both. The string sound he coaxed out of that orchestra in that period was priceless.
