    I've had to re-arrange my room with the result that I now need 7 metre speaker cables.

    My system is Cyrus CD8x + PSX-R --> Cyrus 8vs2 + PSX-R --> Audio Physic Spark 3.

    I was using Townshend Isoldas, and would buy in 7 metre mono length (can't biwire Audio Physics).

    However I'd like to hear if anyone has other suggestions that I could listen to.

    Not many available as 7m. lengths - I've found only Townshend, Atlas, Supra, and Kimber (8LPC only) so far.

    I value naturalness, transparency, detail and a well-balanced sound.

    Music is mainly classical.

    I'd consider cheaper, but I want to avoid any that would be over bright or lean sounding.

    Try some "non audio" cable , you may be suprised by things like
    Twin & Earth or Cat5 cables .

    May not be quite as good as the real top end cables , but you can get very good results for very little money .

    Check out the TNT website for some homebrew recipies .

    If you really like the Isoldas (as I do) and the previous leads are equal lengths, have a word with Sue Townshend- she may do you a deal (partex?). May be worth asking. She is very reasonable and was very helpful with my purchase.

    Otherwise, echo the above PM Zanash.

    Alas, the Isoldas are not equal lengths (5m and 3m).

    I got them cheaper on Flea Bay, and I'll have to try to resell them when I get new cables.

    Thanks for the ideas - please keep them coming if you think of any more.

    Another vote for 20 Amp twin and earth (1.5mm solid core copper). I previously used it in 5m runs with an almost identical CD/amp setup to yours (straight 8s rather than vs) into Monitor GR10s and found it a pretty satisfactory solution in a generally rather bright system. It's a no-cost option too, so for long runs it's defintely worth a shot before you part with any serious cash. Not as clean as sold core silver of course but you pays your money....:)
