Help wanted re repair/service of laserdisc player

    Can anyone reccomend a reliable service/repair engineer for a Pioneer CLD2950 player who wont charge the earth given that these things are no longer current, canbe bought s/h on e bay. . ... Drawer shuts - chug chug and then spits out disc without reading or playing.

    The cheapest way is to start with the news:sci.electronics.repair FAQ, and if you mess it up, get another from ebay. The FAQ should take you through some diagnosis and troubleshooting.
