i just got a vintage studio preamp from the 70's, a metrotech 500-a series tube preamp. i want to restore it but i don't even know how it is powered. is there anyone out there who has worked with vintage equipment who might know something? the only thing that looks like power in on the unit is a 12 prong male tube connection that is titled "transport" any thoughts?

I have a couple of these too. I have the same issue with the power supply. I took a picture of the the transport plug. I also need tubes for it. Anyone know what type it uses? It looks like a 12AX7 or something similar.
