    hi
the line out from my ipod is too "loud" for the im4, and causes a little distortion. fine from the headphone out, but the headphone out is much lower quality sound.

is this a simple thing to resolve ? i'm guessing i can bodge a mini stereo jack plug -> mini stereo jack socket, and put a couple of resistors inline ? any idea of what ohm value to use ?

btw, the im4 is one of these

bodge in a 47k pot, left pin to earth, middle pin to signal out and right pin to signal in adjust until you get the desired results, then either leave the pot alone,or measure the resitance between the middle pin and the 2 outer pins and replace with fixed value resistors

top for left channel, bottom for right channel (or vice versa) and wire in a stereo socket and plug to use inline.

been ages since i fiddled with electronic bits @ school .....
