    tda1540,

at which frequency would you start the filter for the least phase shift and ringing in band ?

I'll check to see if anyone has any ideas for a less expensive route to transformer coupled output.

    thanks

Hi, sorry for delay in replying. Alas i no longer have that Rotel. I made the mistake of selling it. At some point I aim to redo the copper boxes in my current Rotel as it really did make a difference. (they werent untidy - but they werent exactly artistic either! Its quite difficult to work with metal on that scale without decent tools!) As for the filter, your best bet is to go to the diyaudio.com website. Theres lots of stuff there on suitable filtering. Good luck :)

    cutoff frequency: 20kHz(-3 dB)
    group delay ok
    -17 dB @ 44kHz

    cutoff: 33k
    group delay ok
    -5.5 dB @ 44k
-1 dB @ 20k as is usual when using saa7220

I have no idea how the slow OP27 will react when used in nonOS environment.

thanks for the diyaudio.com tip, I've been reading through some of those threads, real hardcore :JOEL: I have problems keeping up with some of them.

I also came across another tda1540, are you the same tda1540 ??

From diyaudio I've found out about DEM reclocking - that is something I would really like to try with my cdp, as I like to improve the fundamentals first, that is why I have concentrated on the clock first.

Any one tried DEM reclocking here ?
