I used to have a wonderful live recording of the trio that included a version of Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring. Almost an aural orgasmic experience listening to it. The percussionist (drummer is too small a word) made the cymbals sing during his solo. I can't remember the name of this album and would love to track down a good copy of it.

Perform a Amazon.fr search, that should do the trick. If you can find it, try the real thing. Much better.

Had a look at this one. Im not sure if its the recording Im searching for. You cant really tell with the sample. The track listing seems to ring a few bells. I already have several Cds etc of Jacques Loussier, I guess Ill have to buy this one and try it to see

    Thank you for the information:MILD:

Loussier on vinyl is relatively easy to come by, I have a few and enjoy them. You'll probably find what you're looking for there

Ah but that's Northern beauty. Me I live in a place commonly known as the arsehole of Rochdale. Mind you the views pretty good.

Mind you can't see why. That's what we wake up to!

Loussier plays Bach 1-6 is what you're after. I'm after a few of them I might copy what I've got onto CD if you can't track them down. PM me if you're interested.

Thanks a Million. Ill PM you later. I had the vinyll of this particular music many moons ago. It may still be in my vinyll collection in my wee hoose on the prairie - Flinders Ranges, South Australia. I do miss it a lot!

I sold off (gave away) my lovely equipment when I went to OZ in 88.

Anyway what do you think of Shetland?[IMG]

As Luck would have it I accidently found a jumble sale in town, Lerwick (only a short ferry trip away) and managed to purchase three LPs of Jacques Loussier for £1.50 and they are in pristeen condition. One is Bach to the future and the Other two are Jacques Loussier - The best of Play Bach. - The sound absolutely marvellous even tho my record deck is an old Trio KP-1022 with a dodgy bearing. What a coincidence! It has Jesu Joy Of Man's Desiring on it but its not the recording of that piece that Im looking for. AAaaah The search goes on!
