As this is a chance to start off new, it'ds a good time to start some decent music threads.

I am working on the first part of a Ska, Rocksteady & Reggae thread.

I hope to do more on other styles & topics.

I don't think i know enough of the "roots/history" of the genres I listen to. Though I'm passionate about them and enjoy discussing, as far as "an introduction" style threads go, all i'd feel capable is "introduction to what i like"

i'd enjoy reading that.... in fact anything that tells me about new music and why the person recommending it likes it / what it is similar to that i might know is a worthwhile endevour imo. i'd also love to read about some of the origin / roots of different genres too.
