eSys do a similarly competitive desktop for £252 inc. VAT.

I'd be pleased to see deals like this put Linux on the desks of more normal users (ie. people who dont dream about typing long command lines)

The desktop is Windows XP

Love the way you can bundle the Linux laptop with Microsoft Office, ebuyer clearly didn't think that through!

I have found quite a few people interested in trying Linux, but often they don't want to spend a lot of money doing so

Ah, I made a mistake this is the eSys desktop i was looking at the other day - Linux with Open Office pre-installed at an amazing 149.98 inc. VAT.

Personaly I would rather spend £50 on a PIII which will perform just as well for office and internet duties.
