urgh!

there seems to be a tyre skid mark across the top of my page!!

whats going on M? (a trial?)

 

Sorry chaps. It just got to the point where I simply couldn't stand seeing that spectrum logo anymore. I hated it. So I'm trying the one that was my favourite from the competition shortlist.

If that doesn't work then I'm going to go back to my original logo.

I think its too hard to read. As there isn't any text other than in the title tags explaining what the forum is called it would make it hard for people with sight problems to read what the logo says even if it has ALT tags.

 

Way better.

Just change or delete the slogan, tweak the colours, move it to the left and you're done.

It's a logo, if you are blind then it doesn't matter what it looks like.

There's no point in a new competition. There's no way we'll ever get agreement so I've decided to excercise executive powers

I've tweaked it a bit as Paul suggested, which was more or less what I was thinking of anyway. I'm leaving it like it is for the time being.

Looks ok to me.

 

It is now much easier to read it was quite hard before. PS you don't need ot be blind to have sight problems.

 

But it's a logo. No information, just ambience. If you can put it into words then you defeat the object. If you need the logo to tell you where you are then you've got bigger problems.

much better than the spectrum thingy. however the left and right edges annoy me could the white areas be made transparent to merge with the background colour? of am i seeing things wrongly due to my stubborn use of the old style forum skin? whatever - it was my favorite all along so i'm going to back it now. looks great michael....

I think it would look better centered again though.

 

Don't like it too much, I have to say. At least change the white to the same grey that's used as the forum background and tweak the yellow accordingly (less red).
