"MAGNEPLANER SMG A IN MINT CONDITION AND WORKS FINE AND HAS A VERY GOOD SOUND..GOT SOME HORN SPEAKERS AND A LOW POWER VALVE AMP SO DECIDED TO SELL THESE"

he lived with them and then decided they weren't for him and replaced them with horn speakers a bit quick, didn't he?

Yeah - more than a bit cheeky, overall.
I had them on eBay and he went for the BIN - so I can't complain really. I just kind of hope he doesn't make a profit on the deal!

Perhaps I can get them back for less than I paid.

Yup, got to be worth a try if you want them. He's emailed me explaining that he didn't mean to offend me - he's just decided to stay with the Klipsch Heresy spkrs he got from me a couple of weeks back (!!) and is looking to recoup his money, which was £285 + £25 for my petrol money. He says he hopes for £300. But if they don't sell for that, he'd accept a lower offer than that before the auction end, I think.

I noticed that you bought a pair of Apogee Centaur Minor speakers on eBay on 18th December for £275. On 26th December you listed them for sale on ZeroGain for £500.

Unless I've got this wrong (in which case I apologise), aren't you being a little hypocritical?

In fact I swapped the Centaurs for some Maggie smgas which had cost the guy £270 - I then sold the Maggies for £285. So huge profits were not my objective. But OK I take your point a bit.

The "bit" is because what actually upset me was the fact that my buyer seemed happy to take advantage of my willingness to travel 5 hours to deliver to him, only to then seemingly try to make an immediate profit out of my good natured efforts. (He only paid me 10p a mile petrol money, barely covering petrol costs).

In fact, it turns out he is a genuine hifi-nutcase like the rest of us, and it was not his intention to take advantage of me in that way. He hadn't considered it from that perspective. Having heard the Maggies he decided they weren't for him, so he put them back up for sale. He even got a buyer at the higher price - good for him!
