Now that I am the proud owner of an eVo 6 I have got to wondering about mains cables. Many Bel Canto owners round here seem to think they are a worthwhile purchase. I have only the standard lead that came with it as it is the only one that will go straight in to the wall (everything else via powerblock and extension).
Any suggestions? Quite willing to find out it makes no difference so if anyone has a spare/one they want to sell I'll happily try it out! Second hand probably, and no more than £100.

    Liam.

One tip would be to jump onto www.audiogon.com, buy one of the many offered for sale on there and when it arrives here in the UK replace the USA wall plug for a high grade UK 3-pin type. ;)

If you're "willing to find out it makes no difference" then best advice is not to bother if you've already made your mind up

I admit, the hardest thing to do in audio is listen with an open mind, but give it a try, you might be shocked by the results, even when listening to cables. Just try not to listen to other people so much ;)

gathering dust at the moment, p.m me if your interested in the latter
if your budget is firm, best keep the money in your wallet, they make little
if any differance, IMHO opinion of course

Over 30 clients that run B/c's use some form of after market power lead to GOOD effect some in conjuction with power conditioner some without.

Mr C, I think you missed my point; I do indeed have an open mind - I'd just like to try some without paying the cash upfront and then trying to convince myself it's made a huge difference. Tony, any specific leads that might fit the budget (imported from Audiogon or not)?

    ATB, Liam.
