Very rare and desireable modified CD63 KI DP. This player was modified in the latest (and final) batch, and as such is only a few weeks old! It retains and improves on the CD63's many charms, and has a liquid, analogue sound that only quality 16bit cd players seem to be able to produce. The modification was designed by Ken Ishitawa for David Price of Hifi World magazine for use with his WAD valve amplification and Yamaha NS1000, but infact works remarkably well in almost any system!

The player is number 25 of only a handful that have been built, and modifications include an all-copper chassis, copper isolation for the power supply, Blackgate Caps, and other changes I'm not sure about.

The value of the player is only likely to increase with time due to its rareity, and the fact that it was only offered for sale on the UK market (can imagine it would go down well in Japan!).

So, this is your chance to own a rare piece of Marantz and Ken Ishitawa's history, and a very good cd player to boot!

    Asking £1000 ono.

    Cheers

    Russell

PS I'm a well known poster over on HFC and hifiwigwam so 'bid with confidence' as they say :D
