did you listened to mark levinson NO.390S ?
i listened it last week and it was wonderful, it was not like other players and i think it's not digital player, it's analog source.
any body can recommend better choice in 6700$ range?

    amir,
end of oktober you have started a thread about players and there a lot of members gave their opinion about their choice. I don't think that since then much has changed and I'm not sure that a lot of us have heard the mark levinson (at least I didn't).
There are some other threads about CD-players, where some members wrote their 'favourite'.
I would think that this thread would become a copy of the others.

Is there though anything that the other threads haven't answer you or let you more confused?

I agree with titian. We can't make up your mind for you and you will get as many different opinions as there are forum members about which CD player is best. You liked the ML 390S so why not just buy it?

    amir,
you are bapistating. this is a well known condition in hi-fi enthusiasts. the ONLY cure for this affliction is to get down to a dealer and arrange some home demo's then just trust your own opinions and buy something. good luck.
    cheers

Surely that would be baptistating (given that it's derived from Nuno Baptista of the Naim forum) ;) ? Since amir lives in Iran, home demos are tricky.

sorry, it's sunday and my speeleung is shaky at the best of times ;)
tbh if i was going to drop 6k on a cdp i'd be willing to spend a few hundred quid on a bit some phone calls and a bit of travell to somewhere i could do the demos. i'm sure a decently researched and organised stay in london could let amir have a listen to all the cdp's on his list for about 500 quid all in.
    cheers

Actually guys, I wasn't annoyed about amir's posting neither about his admiration towards Mark levinson and his 'problems' with finding a CD-player. I was just trying to 'tell' him why nobody's answering his thread which could be sometimes quite frustrating.. ;)

i think hifi have no end
after listenning levinson and comparing it with krell SACD i think my upgrades will not finish and i'm sure after buying levinson i will ask you about a highend speaker.
i listened to wilson audio speaker and it's sound was superior to my dyns.
krell was better than cyrus and roksan but in comparison by levinson krell sound a little cold and dry.

I once played 2 tracks from a CD of my choice [Yellowjackets - Live Wires] on a 390S at a hifi show.

There was only 3 people in the room, and I sat where I wanted. The sound was stunning, and was the only good demo I heard at the show - apart from some headphones I also tried.
