Tweaking gear !!

I now have produced/producing pamphlets outlining tweaks and mods
for the following bits of kit.

Nad 3020b*
MF X-DAC*
DENON dcd920
Incatech Claymore
Arcam alpha 5 CDP* inc zero oversampling and TDA 1541 mods
Sony mj 520 minidisc
Denon Tu206L tuner*

* represents kit thats been modified besides my own units

The pamphlets describe in detail with diagrams and photo's the tweaks and upgrades possible

So it anyone has these or indeed anything else they feel could benefit from
the odd tweak, PM me for more details.

 

Would the X-DAC MOd's carry over to the X24K ???

 

I dont see why not, the generics will be the same.

My best tweak for the X gear is to uprate the wall wart to a decent sized transformer of arround 150va minimum 230vac to 12 ac.

If you can let me see a photo of the internals of the 24k I can be more specific.

But in genral terms its opamps diodes caps signal path, RF shielding and psu. Then look at the connections mains digital and IC's.

The processor is different to the x-dac [?] but the rest will be fairly similar.

Could the tweeks for a CD work for a cheap DVD player ie (Wharfdale DVD)?

Could do ......I'm looking at a tosh 105 at the moment. But I'm a bit tied up with another project a Marantz cd63 tweak collation.
