Because the rotten sods always play something nice when I'm on my way to Basel on Saturday afternoons! This time, it was a Mozart flute quartet. So I found a cheap 2CD Virgin Classics set - this one:

The Mozart flute quartets are lovely, I went out with a flute player at college, and learned a couple of them. Very nice easy listening

You are of course aware Mozart hated the flute and only wrote these pieces because liked to get his hands on the cheque?

Yes. The more famous of the two flute concertos is a straight adaption of an earlier clarinet (I think) concerto.
