Hi Guys, just got a new stock of Lapp shielded cable in. This is a new improved version that is fully VDE compliant so has all the right colours to make wiring up a lot easier!

The cable is three core VDE coloured, with inner grey PVC insulation, covered with a tinned copper braid and a secondary clear PVC insulation.

    3 x 2.5mm cores, 20 amp version = £2.80 per metre.
    3 x 1.5mm cores, 16 amp version = £2.50 per metre.

This cable is superb for DIY mains cables and I can supply detailed instructions with photos on how to prepare the cable for termination.

    I also have Wattgate 320i and 320i High Current IEC's available, Wattgate 320i = £14, Wattgate 320iHC = £22 - this is the cheapest you'll find in the UK!

All prices exclude P&P but I can send any way you like and will be at cost. Drop me a PM if you are interested.

Hi and sorry for not answering sooner, it looks like I don't have email notifications turned on for this.

Both the 1.5mm and 2.5mm sizes of cable are Lapp Olflex Classic 100 CY, this is the coloured cores version (VDE compliant see http://lapplimited.lappgroup.com/14/en/webcatalog/home/1/11/111/1111/index.html). The 110 CY is a numbered cores version but apart from that I am assured by Lapp that they are identical.

As for the sound, I prefer to let others make up their own mind - cables are such a subjective thing. Having said that, I personally think the sound is just a little tighter with a better floor to base tones and less harsh high ends. Others will probaobly say it's just my imagination but whatever it is, it's my opinion only.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Andy,

Looks like you're back in demand.

Did you get the order weighed for postage?

    Shielded cable availability

    Wow!
This thread went quiet after 2007!

    Andy,

On the off chance you're still around:
Are you still able to supply shielded mains components?
If so, could you post or message me your latest prices and components listing please?
