Rumour has it that Virgin trains have pulled out as sponsors so this year there will be no move festival in Manchester. Bad news as it is by the best outdoor event I've been to, and before you say I've done Glastonbury and Leeds.

F**k :(

I was looking forward to that as well, Move always good becuase it was good and had a sort of festival attompshere but wasn't too big. It also had the added advantage of being just 20 minute walk to my house.

It might also be to do with residents complaining. No doubt the cricket club will loose a lot of money over this as well.

Theres a thing in salford this year, the pubs along that big road with the pint pot etc. on. £6 for the day I think, local bands.

Its all about the green man festival

Are there any gigs at all happening at the Cricket Club this year AT? They've done incredibly well over the last few years, quite a few big name bands aside of the Move Festival IIRC. Shame really, Manchester needs something like that. Hopefully somethjing else'll spring up somewhere.

Its a shame the Cricket Ground is perfect for me, I remember when New Order played in 2002 I could here them in my back garden as the wind was blowing that way. I live 1.5 miles away from the ground so I suppose it does create a lot of noise.

This year is turning out to be a bad year for gigs for me, I couldn't even manage to see the Dove's mostly due to poor timing and assignment deadlines. I am seeing the Bravery at the end of May and thats it.
