When I put the balance to one side 100% I still get sound out of both speakers!
    I have a belcanto evo2i integrated.

    Any ideas anyone?

Can the 2i be put into bridged mono mode like the Evo2 ?. Could this be the cause ?????

I had one of the older Bel canto pre-amps a while ago... the balance control didn't make much difference, at full adjustment it was only 6db difference between channels.

    oh dear.

I know the older Belcanto's used the tripath chips, and now use B&O ice modules (or so I have read/been told).

Maybe getting in touch with Belcanto and/or Tripath is a good 1st step?

    Good luck

Hmmm interesting. I do hear a definite volume mismatch to one side when the balance is set to equal.

    tnx //lamboy
